Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using the MakeQuote application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MakeQuote is a Shopify application that allows merchants to:

• Accept 3D model file uploads from customers
• Automatically calculate pricing based on configurable rules
• Generate instant quotes for 3D printing services
• Process orders through Shopify's checkout

3. Account Requirements

To use MakeQuote, you must:

• Have an active Shopify store
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Provide accurate account information
• Maintain the security of your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload or process illegal, offensive, or infringing content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service for any fraudulent purposes

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your content, including pricing configurations and branding. We retain ownership of the MakeQuote application, code, and trademarks. Customer-uploaded 3D models remain the property of the uploading customer.

6. Pricing and Payment

• Free tier includes 10 quotes per month
• Paid plans are billed monthly through Shopify
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
• No refunds for partial months of service

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We are not liable for any losses due to service interruptions.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your pricing configurations

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MakeQuote from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:

• You may uninstall the app from your Shopify store
• We may terminate accounts that violate these terms
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where MakeQuote is registered. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration.
